It's Not The Diet You Choose, But The One That You Can Handle

The research from the Harvard School of Public Health that we reported on last week which claimed that the most important thing for any diet was calorie reduction and that it didn’t really matter what diet you followed provided you took this into account has been creating waves in the world of weight loss. Many individuals swear by their own diets and claim that other diets that they tried to follow did not work and therefore they treat this new research with a certain amount of scepticism.

One of the most important things that people forget when choosing a diet is that it needs to be realistic and practical for their lives. It is no good expecting certain people to change their eating habits completely overnight and follow a low fat, salad and celery eating weight loss plan. If you love Italian food for example you must be allowed to have the odd plate of spaghetti during the week. If the idea of never eating an Indian curry is too much to bear you should make sure that you have one every now and again. Completely depriving yourself of some of life’s great luxuries will not work in the long term.
People often talk about how they tried many diets before they finally succeeded. Sometimes it is just a matter of knowing yourself, knowing what you can and can’t live without and formulating a lifestyle plan which takes into account what you like to eat and what weight loss plans are sustainable and realistic for you.
Some individuals for example loathe exercise whereas some love it. Obviously if you love exercise you will be able to eat that little bit more than most people. Ukmedix News has heard stories about dieters who had never walked into a gym but once they got into the rhythm of things they became complete gym addicts and changed their lives completely.
At the end of the day it doesn’t matter what diet you follow provided it is healthy and does not contain too many calories but what IS important is that you are able to follow this diet forever!!

It is not only calorie reduction that works, it is also calorie burning through excercise. Some people suffer from the Metabolic Syndrome and burn very few calories, look it up on the net to undestand it and ask a doctor to check you for it.
