Imagine The Lift Breaking Down At The Burj Dubai

don’t worry I’ll take the stairs

A simple and easy way to shed weight is to do a workout every day. At Ukmedix News we know of cases where people have managed to lose the pounds by doing something as simple as taking the stairs instead of using the lift.

Imagine The Lift Breaking Down At The Burj Dubai

In one instance a man who lived in the top floor of a fifteen story apartment block lost two stone when his lift was out of order for three months. He said that while the first month was absolute agony and he even contemplated leaving the property completely he was soon running up and down the stairs with no problem. In fact he rarely uses the lift at all now because the stairs keep him in shape.

That’s OK if you live in a 15 storey building but imagine the lift breaking down at the world famous Burj Dubai tower which opened today!  Standing at 162 storeys high this tower is not the sort of place at which you could say, “don’t worry I’ll take the stairs”. Nevertheless you don’t need to get worry about getting exercise at the Burj Dubai because it has a huge fitness centre with not only an indoor swimming pool but incredibly an outdoor one too all on the 123rd floor, making them the world’s highest gyms and swimming pools at almost 1,500ft. above ground.

The Burj Dubai is extremely unlikely to have any lift problems with 57 of them all over the building and while the whole place has been designed with luxury in mind [they even have apartments designed by Giorgio Armani!], the whole place suits a busy and active lifestyle. There are huge shopping malls which are great for gentle walking exercise as well as a nightclub where you can dance off the calories on the 143rd floor, but watch out for the restaurant on the 122nd floor and if you do go there stick to the healthy options on offer.

At Ukmedix News we admit that getting an apartment in the Burj Dubai is a pretty expensive way of buying into a healthy lifestyle and you’d be much better off making small but sensible changes to your daily routine. If you are serious about losing weight in 2010 you could even go for an online consultation at Ukmedix for diet advice and possibly a prescription for either Reductil or Xenical which are the only two legal prescription medications available in the UK and in Dubai.
