Hypnosis For Weight Loss

fortify their mental resolve to stick to healthy diets and get exercise

A controversial form of weight management involving hypnotism seems to be getting results in some patients. The procedure which involves obese individuals being hypnotised so that they think that they have been inserted with a stomach reducing gastric band tricks them into feeling full up on a smaller amount of food. Gastric band procedures which are becoming increasingly popular in the United Kingdom actually reduce the stomach to the diameter of a grapefruit and are a last resort treatment for severe and morbid obesity.

Hypnosis For Weight Loss

This hypnotherapy treatment which has not undergone full clinical testing is most likely to be a hit and miss remedy with most men and women because unless there is clear physical evidence that the gastric band actually exist the effects of the hypnosis are likely to wear off with time.

At Ukmedix News we feel that a more sustainable approach for weight loss hypnotherapy would be the sort of motivational and psychologically boosting hypnosis that is known to work for people who for example want to quit smoking. By visualising the positive aspects of weight loss under hypnosis men and women will be able to fortify their mental resolve to stick to healthy diets and get exercise. The problem with gastric band hypnosis is that it is based on a lie and most things which are not grounded in the truth eventually fall apart.

There are plenty of advertisements around for hypnotherapy to treat weight loss and if you feel that you have tried everything else and you are desperate there probably is no harm in giving it a try, but always remember that with any treatment for weight loss it takes two to tango and your input and effort is always required. It is also recommended that you discuss hypnotherapy for weight loss with your doctor and that you get him or her to recommend a suitable and qualified one.

I have undergone gastric band hypnosis and IT WORKS!! They do not just hypnotise you to think you have had a gastric band fitted. But they work FIRST on the why and that is worked on first. Missing most definitely from the actual procedure. Surely non-surgical is better. Maybe weight loss clinics costing an absolute fortune are worried their business will go!

I am the creator of the Hypno-Band Weight Loss System which is the UK's No.1 gastric band hypnotherapy system. I was intrigued by you article, mainly because it is so uninformed and makes huge assumptions about the methodology. Was any research done before writing this? I don't think so, otherwise you would know that we do indeed treat the emotional and psychological reasons for over-eating as well as providing help on exercise and nutrition. The gastric band part of the therapy does not actually take place until later sessions, after the client has gone through analysis to allow them to change negative behaviours and challenge limiting beliefs. All our Licensed Practitioners are experienced, well trained and insured. Our results are excellent with no side effects. Perhaps you think it is better to "pop a pill" or undergo invasive surgery (with no psychological follow up)to combat obesity. If people would like more information see our website www.hypnoband.com
