One of lifes' mysteries is that when you begin dieting the pounds fall off but as you continue you end up hitting a plateau and having a stubborn few kilos which just won’t disappear. This weight which often accumulates around the stomach is the most difficult to lose and frustrates many dieters into giving up their weight loss efforts completely. Our advice at Ukmedix News is to be proactive about losing this last few kilos of belly fat rather than trying to deprive yourself by eating even less. Eating smaller amounts can actually be dangerous because it can make you hungry and tempt you into binge eating.

Our first tip would be to boost the amount of fibre in your diet. Focus on eating more fruit and vegetables, beans and healthy lean proteins like fish and chicken. Make sure you stay away from white bread and instead eat whole grain wheat bread. Focus on eating a good low fat and high fibre breakfast to set you up for the day. Eating healthy will give you lots of energy which you can put to good use in the gym. Don’t overdo the cardio aspect and try and include a whole range of different weight training exercises. Not only will these improve your posture but they will also improve your muscles tone which will increase your idle calorie burning rate.
People who work out in the gym are more active throughout the day, they are more likely to take the stairs instead of the lift, walk instead of taking the car and generally do more things which create a positive virtuous circle of calorie burning weight loss. If you really want to lose the last bits of stubborn belly fat then you have to change the way you think about food and the way you live. Don’t starve yourself, be proactive with your diet and you’ll get that washboard stomach you always dreamt about.
