More evidence as to why you should stay well away from natural weight loss supplements has been released in a report published by the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology which shows that the vast majority of them contain pharmaceutical chemicals and compounds. In the study which was led by Dr Magdalene Tang from the Hospital Authority Toxicology Reference Laboratory at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Hong Kong it was seen that out of 81 supplements, 61 of them contained at least one pharmaceutical drug.

Of the 61 so-called natural supplements most of them contained sibutramine which is the active ingredient of the prescription appetite suppressant Reductil. The reason why sibutramine is a prescription medication is because it is contraindicated for some men and women especially those with existing high blood pressure or heart problems. Some of the other supplements tested even contained compounds which are completely banned like fen-phen and Phenolphthalein and which are known to cause heart attacks and cancer respectively.

The weight loss supplement industry in the United Kingdom is worth hundreds of millions of pounds and is being infiltrated by criminal organizations who produce tablets, teas and potions which are not only harmful to health but have the potential to kill if used by the wrong people. In America another report done shows that the majority of these natural weight loss products contained trace quantities of dangerous heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium and arsenic.

In conclusion, what this means is that when you buy an herbal weight loss product it is very unlikely to be natural, and highly likely to be dangerous. Unfortunately because the appetite suppressant Reductil has been withdrawn from sale in the United Kingdom thousands of people who previously relied on this drug are now buying fake and untested versions.

The more sensible individuals will either get a prescription from a legal and genuine overseas supplier like reductilbymail or make use of Xenical which can still be sold with a prescription in the United Kingdom.

When I read things like this they always frighten me. I hope these people who sell fake things will be put into prison as this is where they should be,
