One of the biggest challenges that young people face when it comes to maintaining a healthy weight is going out on the weekend and drinking alcohol. Not only is the alcohol itself extremely fattening but it plays psychological games with your appetite not only when you are actually drinking in but also when you wake up the morning after!

On a big night out after a few drinks everybody feels hungry and the temptation to grab a burger, a pizza or a kebab on the way home is obviously very great. In fact provided that you don't eat too much you will probably feel better and less hung over in the morning having eaten something, but sensible food choices and alcohol don't really mix.
At Ukmedix News we would argue that the real challenge to healthy eating with alcohol is not on the night itself but during the following day. Alcohol definitely works as a mood enhancer but the downside is that the next day you will probably feel a little bit depressed and maybe a little bit sorry for yourself which will probably mean you'll eat unhealthily all day. The last thing you feel like eating the morning after is a healthy salad and low calorie foods. What you will want to eat is a full English breakfast and probably a big plate of pasta for lunch.
What would we recommend that you do about it at Ukmedix News? Well here's our advice... Have something small to eat before you go to bed, you don't have to eat the whole restaurant and you don't have to supersize anything but line your stomach with something and you'll wake up in a better mood.
Get some exercise! Exercise will get your brain back on form again and it is almost as if you are sweating out all the toxins and impurities which accompany alcohol. The exercise is probably more important from the fact that it will enhance your mood and therefore make you eat healthily than it is from the fact that it will burn off the extra calories.
At Ukmedix News we know it is tough to get down to the gym when you are not feeling 100 percent but if you can force yourself to do it you will leave the gym feeling like superman and ready to kick ass again!
