One of the biggest reasons why overweight women don’t get to the gym is that they feel embarrassed and humiliated huffing and puffing in front of the men there. Well, for all those overweight women out there we’ve got news for you.

Firstly if that is your reason for not getting fit it’s a pretty silly one. Secondly, the vast majority of men couldn’t give a damn about you working out in the gym and you should try and think of the times like walking on a beach when you really felt out of place. Thirdly, you’ll find that actually a lot of slim people admire those overweight people who persist in going to the gym and getting fit because they know how difficult it is to keep in shape.
One of the first things to remember about losing weight is that you are doing it for yourself and everybody else can go to hell. It is a personal battle and only what you think matters. Excuses for not keeping up healthy lifestyle targets are usually pretty pathetic and so you need to set yourself a high standard of honesty so that you keep it real and don’t let yourself be knocked off track by silly influences. Just because it was your grandmother’s birthday doesn’t mean you have to have three slices of cake, and just because you had a cold doesn’t mean you don’t go to the gym for two weeks.
You’ll find that emotional influences will be the biggest cause of you not keeping up your healthy lifestyle so be aware of what they are and make the decision not to be ruled by emotion, but instead make yourself the master of your own destiny and ultimately your weight.
