At Ukmedix News we like the simple weight loss tips and we reckon that complicated ones are just a waste of time. How about this one for simplicity then? "Eat Less, Taste More".

This saying which is reputedly an old Chinese proverb comes loaded with simple wisdom and truth that could change the way you eat and live completely. Instead of simply focusing on the quantity of food you eat why not focus purely on the quality. At Ukmedix News we have seen time and time again how countries who place a lot of emphasis on the quality of their food tend to have lower rates of overweight and obese individuals.
Probably the three best examples of this are Italy, France and Japan all of which have very low rates of obesity and some of the highest longevity statistics. In France, the land of red wine, cheese and high fat delicacies people eat delicious food, but very few of them have serious weight problems. In Italy, where the consumption of olive oil, pasta and pizza is huge, the Italian men and women learn to balance the 'dolce vita' with a healthy weight. And Japanese people for whom eating is a great ceremony with many courses and different types of food manage to outlive most parts of the world.
Another thing to consider is that the satisfaction derived from food should come from the taste of it rather than the quantity of it. Eating a small but delicious sandwich for lunch, slowly savouring each and every bite will be far more satisfying than wolfing down a big one. A little bit of discipline to ensure that you eat quality food and that you eat it slowly could make you not only thinner but also more satisfied with what you're eating.
We've seen other research at Ukmedix News which shows that obese people don't even enjoy their food as much as normal weight individuals. This sounds crazy because you would assume that those people eating that large quantity of food should at least the enjoying the experience but it appears that in the majority of cases the opposite is true.
So as a trial why not use the slogan "Eat Less, Taste More" just for one month and see if it changes your life?
