Fat Families TV Show Says Obese Children Are Being Treated Cruelly

be unable to get a good job or even a girlfriend or boyfriend.

Steve Miller, the presenter of the TV show Fat Families is courting controversy with his statements that parents who over feed their children are guilty of child abuse. He said that in the same way that parents who underfed their children would be committing a criminal act, those who let their children become obese should also be put under the spotlight.

His solution is that all parents should be given three warnings to stop overfeeding their children and that if they don't their children should be removed from them and taken into care. He said that they should be told that unless they did something about the weight of their children that their children would be bullied a school and would be unable to get a good job or even a girlfriend or boyfriend.

He said the statistical evidence showed that only 3% of children suffering from obesity had parents of a normal weight and therefore obese parents were obviously passing on their unhealthy eating habits onto their children.

It only life was so simple! We have seen hundreds of clinical studies that Ukmedix News which touch on the subject of childhood obesity, eating habits and weight loss methods and We've seen that while it is true that obese parents are often to blame for the obesity of their children, trying to sort out the problem by taking the children away is not a real solution and could leave both the parents and children with serious psychological problems which in themselves could exacerbate unhealthy eating.

Obese people need help and shouting at them and ostracizing them will not solve the problem. Despite the fact that they often pretend they are happy with the way they look and say that they have learned to live with their obesity they are often deeply depressed about their condition and are crying out for support and motivation. Obese individuals need to be given hope that it is possible for them to lose weight and it is possible for them to live normal lives.

Steve Miller is an idiot who does not understand that psychological illnesses are MUCH worse than obesity. Yes something has to be done but it should be through understanding and an offer of therepy and not a Hitler style solultion, by bullying people and threatening to take there children away!

This show / Mr Miller, completely trivializes obesity in a disgustingly condescending way. Every week we're shown a family of over indulgent slobs who are probably in the 5th percentile for obese people. He then takes them through a series of shameful, psychologically tortuous and downright humiliating exercises, which transform the show into a freak performance more than helping them come to terms with their problem. For example pouring really delicious food into a bathtub and letting it go off, as a way of illustrating how disgusting the food is. There is no link however. Any fresh food that is left long enough will stink. What the hell is this idiot's point? Then there was the episode where he had a "Dad" wreath to remind a family of the possible consequences of obesity. Like they didn't already know.

Miller treats his victims as a bunch of fat slobs who should be grateful for being verbally abused by the public. I mean this little gay twat never shuts the fuck up about 'fatties' and going on and on about people's size. Well perhaps I don't like the fact he's a gay little fucking shit.

The show simply portrays a tiny percentage of fat people whose only obesity problem is that they eat shit, are morbidly lazy, and need to be treated like kids because they are deceitful liars. There are so many problems which are more complex than this. The fact these slobs shed pounds of weight so quickly is more an indicator that they simply have to arrest their gluttony slightly and their weight will restore to normal.

How about people who seem to eat normally, but who are seriously overweight, and whose weight makes exercising physically difficult and socially embarrassing?

Miller's show simply serves to stereotype the obesity epidemic by lampooning the most inexcusable obesity condition (i.e. overeating junk and laziness), confirming the prejudices that society holds of ALL fat people. His offensive jibes at their size only add fuel to a form of prejudism which differs little to naziism. Anyone capable of such discrimination is a potential nazi.

Worse still, he harps on and on about the calorie diets. Nobody who goes on calorie diets that I've even known have lost and KEPT OFF their weight. Nobody! The only diets which seem to work in the long term are low carb diets, particularly the ones that promote healthy, home cooked, simple meals, not Atkins where you have to go and buy their own brand.

Every time I watch that show I want to grab that little prick's head and ram a fork in his eye.
