Twiggy said that she does not believe in dieting and diets

Everybody has their own story to tell about how they lost weight and how they continue to maintain their figures. Recently the world famous 1960’s model Twiggy was interviewed about how she keeps herself in shape and she said that her secret is to skip all puddings except just one every month! Twiggy said that up until the end of her thirties despite the fact that she ate whatever she wanted she always stayed extremely skinny and never put on an ounce of fat. It was only when she hit the age of 40 that she started to have to watch what she ate as she noticed that she was getting a “middle age spread”.

Even Twiggy Has To Watch Her Diet

Interestingly Twiggy said that she does not believe in dieting and diets and said that diets were just too boring. The word dieting conjures up negative images of deprivation and this is what puts a lot of people off. Ukmedix News and many nutritionists and doctors prefer the phrase “healthy lifestyle changes” in order to describe how to go about weight loss.

Like Twiggy many people notice that they get older that they start to put on weight and they should do something about it quickly rather than waiting before it becomes unmanageable. No matter how old you are a little bit of exercise can always help and may be all that you need in order to keep yourself trim. A long walk in the park a few times a week could mean that you don’t have to change your eating habits and you will feel healthier too.

As you get older you’ll also notice that is far more difficult to lose weight. Teenagers can lose a few kilos in a week whereas older people with slower metabolisms respond more slowly to changes in diet as Twiggy will confirm.
