The British actress Emily Blunt has recently spoken about her role in the film ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ in which she starred alongside Anne Hathaway and explained how she was given a minder to watch over her to make sure that she didn’t eat too much and put on an ounce of weight during filming.

Emily who played an underweight and diet obsessed personal assistant in the film claims that she was ‘watched like a hawk’ to make sure that she did not eat anything other than the diet provided. Emily also spoke about the complete obsession that people in Hollywood have with their image and that she had even been told in a photo shoot that they could remove her chin a little bit if she didn’t like it in the photographs.
Emily claims that after a bit she decided to sneak in some doughnuts to the set of The Devil Wears Prada just to annoy the producers and also because she was hungry and she needed some comfort food.
It is important that both men and women do not become overly obsessed with what they eat and make sure that they always maintain a healthy weight. People who become obsessed with what they eat can end up with eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia. People who are too thin and who don’t eat healthily also look older than they really are.
Food is and should be one of life’s great pleasures but like many things which provide great pleasure and joy they should always be enjoyed in moderation. If you do over eat you will always end up paying for it either by becoming unhealthy and obese or by having to cut back on your food intake to get back to a healthy weight.

Any extreme is bad. Overeating or not eating at all, brings a lot of psychological and physical problems and the pressure from the media is getting ridiculs.
