Eat Right To Look Younger

Why is it that some people are lucky enough to look younger than they really are and other people look their age or even older? Much of it can be put down to genes and there is very little you can do about this however you can make an impact on the way you look by eating the right sort of food.

Scientists have been arguing for decades now that people who eat large amounts of Antioxidants will look younger for far longer than those people who don’t. Antioxidants protect the skin cells from compounds called free radicals which actually break them down. The Antioxidants also have been shown to protect the elastin fibers and collagen which stop the skin from becoming wrinkled and tired.
If you are concerned about the way you look try changing your diet and loading it with fruit and vegetables. Make it a point to get at least five different varieties of either fruit or veg in your diet every day. Eating berries for a daily snack such as blueberries is an extremely good health tip because they have large amounts of antioxidants in them.
Another thing to do is to try to relax. Stressed people look older than those who are relaxed and carefree. This is not easy to do if you live in a stressful environment but eating healthy and going to the gym will lower your levels of stress and also keep you in good shape. It is important that you have a proactive attitude to your looks, weight and health at all times if you want to see good results.
A word of warning however is that people who overdiet and who starve themselves to the point of looking gaunt will end up looking older than they really are. Make sure that you get to a healthy weight as opposed to being underweight if you want to look your best.
