Forget about dieting! Just try to eat healthily. This is what we believe at Ukmedix News. If you cram your diet with healthy foods like fruit, vegetables and fibre it makes it far more difficult for you to put on weight. It also is a much more pleasant way of losing weight as you are adding things to your diet as opposed to cutting things out.

For example fibre which is found in brown bread boosts the metabolism and also takes toxins out of your body with it. It has been shown to protect against bowel cancer and aid the digestion process. If you are one of those people who suddenly feels very tired and lethargic during the day eating a lot of fibre can greatly help because it very slowly releases energy into the bloodstream as opposed to other unhealthy foodstuffs which give you an energy high and then suddenly an energy low.
Probably the best snacks to have throughout the day are apples and oranges or other fruit which you like. Always buy good quality fruit because there’s nothing more boring and unappetising as tired and past its ‘sell by’ date fruit and there is nothing better than a really delicious piece of fruit. People who say that they don’t like fruit are those who obviously have been eating poor quality fruit. The same goes for vegetables as there’s nothing worse than soggy and overcooked (or even undercooked) veg but properly cooked vegetables can be the highlight of a meal.
If you are overweight try making a few small changes to your diet this week. Make an effort to eat at least two pieces of fruit and three different vegetables every day and also increase your intake of fiber. Not only will you feel better but you probably will lose weight too.
