We tend to harp on about simple weight loss tips at Ukmedix News not because we don’t understand the complicated ones but just because clinical evidence shows that the simple ones are actually far more effective. Why do people go for some complicated diet plan which has a greater likelihood of failure when they can instead follow a few simple tips and increase the chances of success?

How about this for a simple weight loss tip? Drink green tea and lots of it. Many overweight and obese people will probably think ‘what difference is green tea going to make’ and they are right in that it will not make a lot of difference alone but over a few months it might actually start to tip the balance in favour of weight loss instead of more weight gain. Green tea which is a natural appetite suppressant not only prevents you from over eating and snacking throughout the day but is also full of flavonoids which work as antioxidants.
The other advantage of drinking green tea is that it will stop you from drinking other things which are high in calories. If you swap your daily cappuccino for a green tea over the duration of the week you will have prevented the ingestion of several hundred calories. A word of advice is that green tea can often tastes bitter at first and you should attempt to get a version which includes a natural lemon flavouring too. You could even cut up a slice of fresh lemon and drop it in the cup for a really good and healthy flavour.
Green tea which originates from China is one of the few Chinese ‘medications’ which actually has clinically proven benefits. Be careful of ‘diet green teas’ or any green tea products which promise instant weight loss because they are likely to be full of dangerous chemicals. Now you might have a problem with diets and following diet books but if a simple thing like drinking green tea as your chosen hot beverage throughout the day is too much for you to do than you might as well resign yourself to be overweight for the rest of your life.

Thanks for this piece. I started drinking a lot of iced green tea a few days ago, not for weight loss, but just to avoid drinking too much diet soda. I noticed that my appetite was down, so I was just checking to see if that was an actual effect or something else. An unexpected bonus!
