Don't Just Diet For Your Wedding Day, Get Healthy For Your Life

You should always consume at least 1,200 calories a day even when dieting.

Every single woman wants to look her best on her wedding day and therefore they tend to lose weight beforehand.  While it is obviously good to lose weight, crash dieting for a special social occasion is neither healthy nor sensible because it can create an unhealthy Yo Yo pattern of weight loss followed by weight gain.  You should always consume at least 1,200 calories a day even when dieting.

Don

The idea that you lose weight just to look your best on one day is in fact pretty ridiculous and you should be considering your long term health and your long term appearance too. Men sometimes are irritated that women lose weight drastically for their wedding day but then put it all back on again as soon as they are married and don’t seem to care anymore.

Another reason why crash dieting before a wedding day is not advised is because it can cause stress and anxiety which is the last thing you need before going up the aisle. Wedding preparations are always stressful and if you have not been eating properly you could end up losing the plot. Being calm and collected will make the day and the days before and after more memorable and to achieve that healthy eating must be part of the plan. Taking quick fix over the counter diet medication is also not a good idea because of its high caffeine content which will make you nervous and dehydrated.

There is no reason why you should not eat healthily and exercise in the run-up to your wedding day. Exercise is probably the best thing that you can do at the end of the day to clear your mind of all worries and stress that you might have about the big step you are taking.

So plan ahead! Get thin well before your big day and please don’t put it all back on again afterwards!  You want to feel good as well as look good on your wedding day.
