Does Eating Carbs Late At Night Cause Weight Gain

there’s no clinical evidence to back up this diet tip

One diet tip which millions of people swear by is that you should not eat anything after say 8pm at night. Ukmedix News has spoken to people who claim that this simple mantra made the difference between weight gain and weight loss. The problem with it is that there is not one clinical study done anywhere in the world which proves that the time which you eat food has any link as to whether it makes you put on weight or not. So are these people talking rubbish?

Does Eating Carbs Late At Night Cause Weight Gain

Well we decided to do our own bit of investigative research at Ukmedix News and we came up with the theory that people who are able to stay away from the cookie jar after 8pm at night are the sort of people who have enough discipline and motivation to eat healthily. They will also be limiting the amount of hours within that they that they are allowed to eat and therefore the chances are they would eat less overall.

Another thing to take into account is that people tend to crave fatty food when they are tired and since you are more probable to be tired after 8pm than before 8pm, not eating at this time is a good idea. (Nobody ever has a late night salad!) Another diet tip which many slim people swear by is the one where you don’t consume carbohydrates after 6pm.

Again there’s no clinical evidence to back up this diet tip but if you stick to protein and salad every night for supper your overall daily carbohydrate intake is likely to be less and this can only work in your favour. Clinical studies have shown however that it makes no difference whether you eat your carbohydrates at breakfast lunch or supper but making a conscious effort to avoid them for one important meal is a step on the right way.

At the end of the day you have to find something which works for you and your life. It is no point following a diet which is impractical for the way you live.

No clinical evidence = worthless article.

The only thing that happens after 8.00 p.m. is that your resistance is very low at that time of the day and you are more likely to give in and end up binging and blowing all the hard work of keeping to your diet.
