Beyonce Fad Diet Warning

Written by Stuart Stevens | Monday, 28 August 2006

The world famous singer Beyonce Knowles has let it be known that the Maple Syrup diet that she followed recently to lose weight quickly was not a very healthy option and she advised other women not to use the diet as a weight loss diet plan. She advised women to consider a sensible long term look at weight loss and said that she was only losing weight for this film and that it was not meant to be a permanent weight loss.

Ukmedix has seen reports that show that she lost a whole stone in weight in just 10 days as it was necessary for her to lose weight for a part in a new film called Dreamgirls. Ukmedix and almost all health experts do not think that this sort of crash dieting is healthy as it can upset the body’s metabolism and it is not a good long term weight loss plan.

Beyonce claims that she has already put back on all of the weight and that she is happy with her shapely body and her curves and that she had great fun putting the body mass back on again and ate lots of doughnuts and other fatty foods.

She claims that the film roles required her to be a 16 year old in one section and then later on a 36 year old and so in order to show the difference she felt that it would be good to lose weight for the 16 year old role and then just be her normal curvy self for the 36 year old role.
She let it be known that her nutritionist had helped her with diet and that he had monitored her health during the diet. The idea is that you miss out meals and instead you make a liquid that has Maple Syrup, lemon juice and cayenne pepper all mixed in with water. A number of shops have noted that the sales of Maple Syrup have shot up and that most of the people coming into buy it are young women.

Most nutritionists would say that the diet is not a good plan and that it could cause you to always have a yo yo effect with your weight, instead of maintaining a steady weight. The diet also does not contain the right amount of vitamins and other nutrients that are needed to be really healthy and over the long term the diet could make you unwell.
