We are always amazed in the Ukmedix Newsroom about the noise that the media make about the weight loss and weight gain of celebrities. Just recently the ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress Eva Longoria put on a little bit of weight and there were worldwide news reports that she was pregnant! In fact Eva has been asked to put on a little bit of weight to play her character five years in the future as a mother of two children in the ongoing series and has repeatedly denied that she is pregnant. In fact Eva got straight to the point when asked if she was pregnant and said "No, I'm just fat!".

Nevertheless there’s no doubt that the 33 year old actress is trying to get pregnant and many close friends have confirmed this. In a way it is ironic that she is playing a mother of two small children at the same time that she’s trying to get pregnant and the good thing is that it will give her a little bit of practice with dealing with toddlers. Eva Longoria is married to the professional basketball player Tony Parker.
It can’t be much fun being a celebrity when every single pound you gain or lose becomes the subject of media reports. Paparazzi photographers with their zoom lenses can catch you out in unflattering photographs when you go to the beach and before you know it your cellulite is being printed in magazines and newspapers all over the world.
This media scrutiny puts famous women under a lot of pressure to maintain perfect figures and sometimes they resort to unhealthy eating habits and non prescription diet pills to maintain their weight. This intense focus on the weight of celebrities is also known to be bad for impressionable women who compare themselves to these famous style icons.
