Deceiving Yourself Is The Way To Weight Gain

Oh, and of course we will have a Diet Coke with that!

The problem that so many of us have with losing weight is that we deceive ourselves about what we are eating and drinking at practically every step of the day and this deception is made so much easier by those advertisements for low fat and low calorie foodstuffs which make us think that we are somehow being virtuous by having a Diet Coke!

deceiving yourself is the way to weight gain

Another way that we love to deceive ourselves when we are eating what we know deep down is a fattening meal is to order a side salad. We think that just because we have a few greens on the table the double cheeseburger is somehow less likely to make us put on weight. Oh, and of course we will have a Diet Coke with that!

Obviously, it's good to go for the Diet Coke because it's not full of sugar and therefore calories but this does not mean that we are therefore entitled to overeat and have a desert too!

Research which we have published at Ukmedix News shows that people who eat diet foods actually consume many more calories than they would if they are told that the food they are eating is the regular version. You know how it is; when you see diet mayonnaise you'll probably put much more in your sandwich than if it was the regular version, but it's probably only got a small percentage less calories.

It's very easy to deceive ourselves about certain foodstuffs especially those things which we love to eat. If you are going to have a pizza it is going to be full of calories even if it has wholemeal bread and just a few toppings. By all means have that pizza every now and then but don't leave the restaurant thinking that you won't need to work it off in the gym just because you also have a Diet Coke!

If you are honest with yourself about what you eat you will probably find that you actually enjoy going out and having a treat every now and again much more.

Facing up to the truth and the facts about your diet and exercise habits can be very liberating!

If you normally have a pizza and a coke and you now order a pizza and DIET coke aren't you having LESS calories, therefore the result should be weight loss? Or am I stupid to think like this?
