The latest warning to reach the offices of the Ukmedix News Team is that a slimming product called Slim 3in1 has caused a number of individuals to be hospitalised. The warning which comes from The Department of Health in Hong Kong was issued after the police raided a property which was being used as a distributing centre for sales of the Slim 3in1 product.

Slim 3in1 has been tested and found to contain phenolphthalein. This product was not mentioned on the labelling and it is actually a banned substance because it is known to cause cancer with repeated use. At one point phenolphthalein had been used extensively in laxatives but was withdrawn from use after clinical testing showed that it was dangerous.
Even if the phenolphthalein product was a safe medication it is extremely dangerous for people to try and lose weight by using laxative medications as they can cause severe dehydration which may make you lose weight but in fact you are just shedding body water. You are likely to become extremely weak and ill if you use laxatives to lose weight.
The Hong Kong police have stepped up their surveillance of illegal weight loss medication in the province after a number of reports of people becoming seriously sick. They have been conducting raids on health shops and have also been launching undercover raids to try to catch internet operators who sell the medicines online.
It appears that at the moment phenolphthalein is the drug of choice for criminal manufacturers of slimming medications who obviously have absolutely no concern for the health of their patients. That they are prepared to use the chemical which is known to cause cancer shows exactly how dangerous it is to buy illegal weight loss medication. That is why at Ukmedix News we strongly warn you to stay away from any weight loss medication unless it is prescribed to you by doctor.
