Movie star Colin Farrell is recovering from a drastic diet which meant he had to lose 40lb. in weight to play the part of a conflict zone photographer in Kurdistan. The film called Triage required him to look distraught and undernourished from months of living in a battle zone and having lost a good friend.

Colin Farrell who was lucky enough to have a trained nutritionist to help him lose the weight said that it wasn’t easy especially as the director Danis Tanovic spent the whole time eating sandwiches and fries in front of him. Losing weight always requires willpower and there’s no harm in exercising that willpower every now and again to show that you are on top of the situation with regard to your weight. The fact that Colin has done it once means that should he ever start to put on the pounds as he gets older he can remember the lessons he has learned from this experience and use them again.
Movie stars are always having to put on weight or lose weight to suit a particular role and obviously it is much easier to put on weight than to lose it. It is not healthy to have a YoYo weight pattern and research shows that those people who put on weight and then lose it all the time are likely to have the same weight related health problems that overweight and obese individuals do too.
Having a stable weight is not only good for you physically but also psychologically as it allows you to relax and be confident about your appearance instead of constantly checking yourself on the scales. You should also remember that the longer it takes you to lose weight the more likely you are to keep the weight off for good. Weight loss should be a gentle and slow process rather than a sudden quick fix solution.

It certainly is not healthy to yoyo and if he had to lose it quickly it could not have been a healthy way of doing it. Not a good idea to copy!!!
