The following research is the sort of research that we like at Ukmedix News because it is simple and practical. We have published plenty of studies which show that the simpler the diet tips are the more likely they are to be successful and this definitely fits in that category.

The research done by the University of London shows that children who come from a family which includes a dog are significantly less likely to suffer from obesity. By looking at 2,000 children of the ages nine and ten they could see that if they came from a family which had dogs they were much more active than those who didn't. Interesting that both boys and girls from dog families got more exercise both during the week and on the weekends.
One thing however that the research did not manage to work out was whether more physically active families were more likely to own dogs or whether it was the dog itself which encouraged otherwise sedentary families to get more exercise and run around with the dog.
Parents should take note of this interesting research especially if they have children with weight problems. If they do go ahead and buy a dog they should make sure that it is one which will require exercise and they should make strict rules with their children about taking out the dog for a walk every day.
Buying a dog could improve the health of your children as well as your own health considerably. You should never be complacent about 'puppy fat' because research shows that children who get to their teenage years overweight or obese are likely to have weight problems for the rest of their lives and this of course means they are likely to have health problems too.
Getting a dog could significantly reduce the chances of your children suffering from hypertension, diabetes, depression, poor sleep as well as suffering from practically every other disease especially as they get older.
