Being Overweight AND Underweight Linked To ED

very thin men were 22 times more likely to suffer from sexual dysfunction

For a man, being extremely thin or fat greatly increases the chances of you suffering from some kind of sexual problems as you get older. A new survey done in Denmark involving over 5,500 people showed that the impact of not being of a normal weight was considerable when it came to sexual health.

being overweight and underweight linked to ed

The results of the study showed that very thin men were 22 times more likely to suffer from sexual dysfunction in forms such as erectile dysfunction, an inability to reach orgasm or premature ejaculation compared to those men who were of a normal weight. In the same way men who were very overweight with waists over 40 inches had a 71% greater likelihood of similar sexual problems when compared to those men who had waists of less than 37 inches.

There has been loads written about how being overweight leads to higher rates of erectile dysfunction but very little about how being underweight also causes male sexual problems. Being overweight not only directly increases the chance of suffering from erectile dysfunction but because weight problems increase the chances of obesity related illnesses such as diabetes, and heart disease which in themselves are linked to erectile dysfunction the risk is considerable.

The study which was printed in the Journal of Sexual Medicine was carried out by scientists running the Danish Health and Morbidity Program which randomly asks questions of individuals using face to face questionnaires as well as private ones for the more personal questions.

Other obvious findings of the study was that men who smoked were much more likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction and also that having a waist of over 40 inches was directly linked to a greater likelihood of being sexually inactive.

Looking after your health is the best way to make sure that you never have to make use of the erectile dysfunction medications Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.

I definitely agree with this article, people need to take care of themselves as it is when they get older than they feel the consequences.
