Thinking of losing weight, but unsure what to do? Well, the first thing to do is to get some advice! It won't take you long to realize that everybody has their own ideas and methods of losing weight and this can cause confusion and be very demoralizing.

So who do you listen to? At Ukmedix News we would advise you to only listen to people who can walk their talk. There is no point in taking weight loss advice from somebody who does not follow it themselves or who is overweight. Why not think of the healthiest people you know and take time out to have a long conversation with them about how they eat and their attitude to food in general?
Getting advice from somebody who has a proven track record in any aspect of life significantly increases the chances of that advice being worthwhile.
Another very powerful weight loss tip is to get help from somebody who cares about you. Asking for help from your wife or husband, girlfriend or boyfriend or co workers or anyone else that you are in regular contact with could also make the difference between success and failure.
At Ukmedix News we have previously written about research which shows that simply by hanging out with people who eat healthily helps you to eat healthily too. The opposite also applies so watch out for your overeating and overweight friends; maybe you should steer clear of them for a while!
Having a good friend to lose weight with is also something which increases the chance of success. If you make a pledge to not only yourself to lose weight but also to a friend or two you will have even more motivation to stop unhealthy snacking and to go and get regular exercise!
Think carefully and plan ahead. 2012 is just around the corner and this year could be the year that you finally set yourself free from being overweight!
