The medical authorities in Canada, Health Canada have issued a warning regarding a number of supplements which have promoted as being herbal and 100% natural. The products which were tested in a laboratory were found to contain extremely dangerous compounds and should be disposed of immediately.

The products which were promoted as weight loss or impotence medications were promoted on the internet and can be easily purchased in most countries around the world. They have already been the subject of British, Australian and American government health warnings and were probably manufactured in the Far East.
The products to look out for are:
1. X-Hero Male Enhancer, Natural Vigra Viagra Tablets & Black Ant. This product contains doctored versions of the active ingredient of both Viagra and Cialis, a potentially lethal combination.
2. Slim Xtreme Herbal Slimming Capsule. This product was found to contain sibutramine, the active ingredient of the weight loss medication and appetite suppressant Reductil. Sibutramine which is a prescription medication has now been withdrawn from sale in United Kingdom pending further tests and can be dangerous to people with high blood pressure.
3. (Hua Tuo Brand) Youzhi Baoying Dan. Describing itself as a traditional Chinese herbal medicine for treating general ailments in children, this product actually contains highly toxic mercury.
4. (Lee Sze) Texiao Houtong Wan. This product again claims to be a traditional Chinese herbal medication but in fact contains arsenic. (Yes arsenic!)
5. Prolonged Man Power Essence. Again described as traditional Chinese herbal medicine, this product claims to boost male sexual prowess, but in fact contains lead!
6. Beline Capsules. This product is supposed to work as a detox medication and to relieve pain in the joints, but in fact contains a powerful antihistamine chlorphenamine.
It goes to show that practically all Chinese medications which can be purchased on the internet should be avoided, because too many of them contain dangerous chemicals which could even be fatal if used by the wrong people.
