You can run but you can’t hide.

At Ukmedix News we have very simple advice for people wanting to lose weight. If you look through our news articles you will see how time and time again we argue that the best way forward is to keep things simple, easy and clear. Our weight loss tips advise you to make little changes to your lifestyle which we believe will produce big results over time.

A Selection Of Crazy Diets

Nevertheless there are thousands of voices out there which try to convince people that the best way to lose weight is to make some drastic change for a short time. Diets which advertise themselves as ‘The Four Day Diet’ or ‘Lose 4 Kilos In A Week’ are not what we believe in at Ukmedix News because clinical evidence shows that people who follow these diets end up putting everything back on again.

One diet which is being talked about at the moment is the ‘All-Celery Diet.’ As the name suggests all you do is eat celery and its proponents claim you actually burn more calories digesting celery then you do by consuming it which means that overall it has a negative calorie content. You’re not allowed to add anything to the celery and so in the long term you are extremely unlikely to be able to sustain this eating pattern.

Another stupid diet which is being hyped is the ‘Five-Bite Diet’ which only allows you to take five mouthfuls of anything at each meal. This leads to people trying to stuff themselves with five enormous mouthfuls of unhealthy food at each meal. This has got to be one of the more ridiculous diets that we have ever come across at Ukmedix News.

The length that some people go to avoid healthy eating and exercise is incredible.  One company is even producing special Dieters’ Sunglasses which are supposed to block out specific rays of light that activate appetite and stop food looking tasty.

And lastly but by no means least is the ‘Cotton Ball Diet’. This diet involves soaking cotton wool balls in gelatin and swallowing them, the idea being that because the cotton balls have a lot of fibre in them you won’t feel hungry at all.

You can run but you can’t hide. At the end of the day there is no substitute to calorie reduction and exercise.  There are many different ways that you can go about it and there is a big choice of different food and exercise but remember that everything positive involves a little bit of sacrifice!
