We loved this book at Ukmedix News because it gives so many insightful and helpful tips into staying slim which are practical, realistic and in many cases even fun. The book which is called ‘101 Things To Do Before You Diet’ is designed for women who struggle to keep themselves in shape and at the same time appreciate that many of the best things in life centre round food. The book is witty and fun to read and doesn’t come with impossible to follow recipes, calorie scales and technical complicated jargon which only doctors and nutritionists can understand.

The author Mimi Spencer is big on simple calorie reduction and gives it to you straight as when describing a study which looked into why the French are thinner than the Americans she says that they concluded that “it was because the French ate less!” She talks about how “Chocolate cake actually talks to me”, and that one of the things to do is to use a very small plate instead of a big one. Not all of her weight loss tips are funny however because she backs up her writing with hard research. For example she quotes a study which shows that 25 percent of people feel obliged to finish what is on their plate regardless and that using a tray at a cafeteria could make you eat more because you feel obliged to load it up before you get to the cashier. She also rubbishes any detox diets!
This book also gives women advice on how to make themselves look the best for their shapes and therefore gives tons of well researched lifestyle tips for the modern woman living in the modern world. So often we have seen at Ukmedex News that the simple things in life produce the biggest results. Any diet advice that is overly complicated is statistically more likely to be useless for you.
