Viagra Saves Lives...Again

In yet another story involving Viagra and a happy ending the drug has come to the rescue of a child born with a heart defect. At Ukmedix News we have reported on a number of occasions about how this best-selling erectile dysfunction medication can be used to help children that suffer from a potentially fatal condition called Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.

In this case what makes the story so incredible is that the child involved was born weighing only 1lb 10oz and who measured the length of a pencil. The prematurely born girl has already had four surgical operations and has lived for a year in an intensive care ward struggling for her life. Doctors had originally given up on the little girl called Ellie after she became extremely fragile but thanks to Viagra blood pressure in her pulmonary artery has stabilised and her chances of survival have been greatly increased.
It looks like the little girl Ellie could spend her first Christmas back home as the Viagra drug is having such a good effect on her. She now weighs 20lb. and is considerably stronger than she has ever been. Her mother Stacey Sheppard is said to be overjoyed with her progress and can’t wait to take her baby home. While at present she still needs a ventilator to help her breathing if her medical progress continues to be good and the Viagra continues to work she will soon be able to live a relatively normal life.
Viagra’s active ingredient sildenafil citrate is used in an identical product with different packaging called Revatio and is used by thousands of people who suffer from Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. Revatio has been credited with saving thousands of lives and allowing many people to live normally with what was previously a fatal condition.
Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension is caused when the arteries of the heart and lungs become restricted and the blood is unable to flow normally. Erectile dysfunction is also a blood flow problem and that is why Viagra or Revatio is effective in curing both problems.

You are very lucky. My baby Mariam Was born July 12th 2008, later died September 26th 2008. Firstly diagnosed with the Aolta, then asd & vsd (holes in the heart) then when she needed life support the medical team finally relised she had persistent pullmonary hypertension. Then she was started on that viagra stuff, after 4 weeks of intensive care it had worked 30%, was on the road to recovery, then her little body filled up with too much fluid, she really died from that ascites. I do believe her treatment was started a little too late, as the medical team was concentrating more on her little heart then the blood flow around the heart and lungs. I am forever on the internet trying to find answers, i miss my three months old beautiful baby.
