necessary to administer tiny doses of Viagra

In yet another incredible story involving the use of the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra a four month old girl who suffers from an incredibly rare inherited heart problem was saved. Tanisha who comes from the town of Kolkata in India was born suffering from cyanosis caused by the fact that she had a hole in her heart and an undeveloped lung.

Viagra Drug Saves Little Indian Girl

Professor Balakrishnan from the Malar hospital in Chennai explained that during very risky surgery to cure the girl it was necessary to administer tiny doses of Viagra to reduce the high blood pressure that she suffered from.

The high blood pressure that was in her right lung meant that blood was not flowing in the right direction and thus she would often turn blue from lack of oxygen. Professor Balakrishnan who has done this operation a previous six times explained that the Viagra was instrumental in ensuring a good outcome.

Professor Balakrishnan should not only be commended for his brilliant surgery in saving this little girl’s life but also for the fact that he took such a personal interest in her case as he looked after her personally and even raised enough money for the operation to take place.

Not many people know about the fact that Viagra can be used in other applications and merely see it as an erectile dysfunction remedy. Pfizer’s Research and Development section have been experimenting with Viagra for a number of years to see if it can help men and women who suffer from a whole list of other illnesses and health conditions.

It may be that sometime in the near future the drug will be licenced for use to help men and women who are at risk for heart attacks but further testing is needed before it can be deemed to be safe for this purpose.
