“Give him Viagra and that’s an order” is the gist of a ruling by the Constitutional Court of Columbia which has demanded that a man be provided with the world’s best selling erectile dysfunction medication. The man who has not been named took the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social to court after being denied treatment for erectile dysfunction which he believed he was entitled to.

The court specifically named the Director General, Senor Paulino Hernandez Castañeda, the Head of the Urologoly Services, Senor Rodrigo Cedeño Gomez as well as the Director of the state pharmacies, Grettel Quesada Ortiz as being in breach of regulations regarding the free supply of medicine. This will have a big impact on other men who have been refused Viagra in the past who will now be able to point to this court ruling, and demand that all Colombian pharmacies provide them the Viagra drug if they have been properly diagnosed as suffering from erectile dysfunction.
