Viagra Use In American Universities

Ukmedix is aware of the fact that many people assume that an erectile dysfunction problem is an older man problem and that younger men do not suffer from ED, but a new research study shows that increasingly this is not the case. The study that looked at University students and their sexual habits, noted that Viagra was often used by them to counteract the effects of heavy alcohol consumption and drugs.

The research doesn't lay claim to being the final word on the matter but it nevertheless examined the behaviour of 234 male University students in America between the ages of 18 and 25 and saw a high level of Viagra use among this group. In fact 13% admitted to having suffered from some sort of erectile dysfunction mild or otherwise and hardly any of them visted a doctor to check it out.

The research also looked at whether using a condom had some effect on erectile function and 25% of the men said that they had a some point lost an erection when using a condom. The men who had these difficulties were therefore likely not to use a condom (4 times less likely) and this is worrying due to the added risk of sexually transmitted diseases.

Of the men who participated in the survey nearly 60% said that they used erectile dysfunction medicines to cure impotence and nearly 30% said they were purely to boost their sexual stamina. Viagra can help a normal man to have more sex than he previously was able to. Sixty four percent of the students said that they used Viagra with alcohol, cocaine, ecstasy and other banned drugs.

The alcohol and other substances can reduce sexual stamina and remove inhibitions which can be dangerous because they increase the chances of STDs being passed on and unplanned pregnancies. Most of the men said that they bought the Viagra without a doctors prescription and were given it either by friends or from buying through illegal websites that operate from India or China.

The concern for the health of these young men is rising as there are considerable dangers in buying online Viagra from illegal websites and also from mixing Viagra with illegal drugs.
