New Viagra Research On The Stomach

Viagra consistently continues to amaze us at the Ukmedix newsroom for being the most versatile and potentially useful drug in the world. Not content to be the world famous erectile dysfunction medication that has made millions of pounds for Pfizer and its shareholders the drug went on to be used as a medication that can save the lives of people with pulmonary arterial hypertension and in a recent case saved the lives of some newborn babies born with the condition.
The drug is being tested as a possible heart attack stopping drug after tests showed that it could prevent the heart from getting stressed by relaxing the blood vessels in it and now in another twist to the tale the Viagra drug has been shown to have an effect on the stomach too!
A recent clinical study in Belgium showed that men who took a Viagra pill actually boosted the capacity of their stomachs by an average of sixteen percent. While this may not seem like a good thing the scientists at Pfizer will probably use the information to come up with some new positive use for the sildenafil drug. For example the Viagra drug could be used for men and women who have ‘impaired gastric accommodation’ as the drug clearly relaxed the stomachs of the volunteers in the study.
Viagra has been a blockbuster drug for Pfizer but it is possible that its full potential has not been realised and that it may continue to make money for its inventors for many years to come in many different ways. The Viagra drug still outsells all the other erectile dysfunction drugs and still has more than 50% market share. Ukmedix will be keeping an eye out for more news on Viagra research and the stomach and will keep you posted on any updates or news.
