More To Sex Than Just Viagra

These days everyone has heard about the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra and it can probably claim to be among the world's most famous drugs. Viagra has help millions of men (and women) restore their marriages as well as boost the profits of the pharma giant Pfizer. The fact that so much Viagra sells and that there is a huge market in copies illegal and otherwise shows that there is a serious need for this drug. Viagra shows that men care alot about their performance in bed and that they really want to be sexually vigorous with their wives and girlfriends and also that many men have problems sustaining erections when they age or when they have other health problems that cause erectile dysfunction.

So Viagra has helped men with the physical side of sexual dysfunction and has been known to help men and women with sexual intimacy and relationships but it is important not to just rely on Viagra for sexual intimacy and satisfaction. Sometimes Viagra can even cause more problems in a relationship as sexual expectations are not met and the sex just becomes a performance show as opposed to a romatic coupling.

Viagra has no effect on the spiritual and emotional side of sex and that must be considered before you think that Viagra will sort all your realtionship problems out. Older men often think that Viagra will suddenly make them amazing lovers again when they take the little blue pill and while the drug will help with the actual erectile function it will not help with the physical action of sex which is required too.

Many old people still like to enjoy sex and various studies have been done that show that aging does not always mean that sex is non existent. One survey claimed that nearly 70% of men over the age of 80 still enjoyed sexual encounters and that many married men and women over 60 are still sexually active and this is not all down to Viagra but also due to good health and a good relationship.
