A fully qualified nurse has been found guilty of professional misconduct after prescribing her husband the erectile dysfunction medication Viagra. Sylvia Gillicker could lose her licence to practice as a nurse or face other penalties when the disciplinary panel meets to decide her punishment.

The disciplinary panel heard how she had put her husband’s details into the computer system of the medical centre where she worked and thus she was able to issue him with a number of different prescriptions. It was also noted that her husband should not have been taking Viagra because he was using other medication which could have interacted with it. This highlights the importance of getting a doctor’s prescription and approaching the use of Viagra with care.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council said that they take professional misconduct extremely seriously and that anybody who breaks the rules of professional nursing is liable to lose the right to practice as a nurse. All three of the erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are prescription drugs and the reason for this is that they have side effects which can be aggravated if you are using certain other medication. In the vast majority of cases men do not suffer from side effects when using erectile dysfunction medication and the drugs are known to be extremely effective for what they are supposed to do.
At Ukmedix a prescription is always issued by a doctor following an online consultation and the strictest medical and professional standards are always followed. At Ukmedix News we have seen how the improper use of Viagra can cause health problems in some men and we also know that when it is used properly and professionally it has a far greater medicinal effect.
Use Viagra, Cialis and Levitra responsibly!
