In Brazil the Police have finally caught and arrested a suspect from the 'Viagra Gang'. This now famous gang has made its name by robbing pharmacies and specifically stealing the Viagra erectile dysfunction drug over the past year. The police hope that the suspect will shed light on other gang members and help them in their enquiries.

The Viagra gang has over the last 2 months robbed over 35 pharmacies all belonging to one pharmaceutical chain. They became famous becuase they seemed more interested in getting the Viagra than anything else and over the course of the thefts got away with as much as 220,000 dollars worth of Viagra and money. Most of the Viagra was then sold in back streets of Rio de Janeiro on the black market.

The thefts and sales of the Viagra drug were very successful and the gang is began to draw too much attention to itself as a result and this is partly what led to the eventual arrest of the suspect. The police used undercover men and secretly recorded telephone conversations that showed that other illegal gang were worried that the Viagra gang were drawing too much attention to other blackmarket activities.

The drug Viagra is extremely famous and is one of the most popular blackmarket drugs in its real form and in its copied form. Viagra was the first drug ever to be marketed and sold to treat erectile dysfunction and thus its fame continues to spread.
