Great news for the legal online pharmacies in the United Kingdom such as Ukmedix is that a major criminal who operated an illegal setup selling fake Viagra, Cialis and other medicines has been put in prison for four and a half years. Mr. Ashish Halai who was considered to be the gang leader of the global setup which sold millions of pounds of fake Viagra every year had been charged with four separate counts of selling counterfeit medicines in the United Kingdom.

The illegal organisation used factories in China, India and Pakistan which sent medications to the United Kingdom by post. The judge noted that the scale of the organisation was huge and that the mark ups on the drugs meant that millions of pounds in profits were made. It is estimated that the fake Viagra pills were costing as little as 25 pence each and were regularly sold for around £20 each.
The MHRA which regulates the sale of medications in the United Kingdom says that this latest case was the largest criminal conspiracy to sell illegal medications that they have ever come across. Along with Mr. Halai three other men were also found guilty of conspiracy and will be given a sentence sometime next month.
At Ukmedix we believe that men should be allowed to buy erectile dysfunction drugs discreetly and safely. With a vast amount of illegal medication being sold on the internet this is sometimes difficult and many men fall into traps and end up buying dangerous fake Viagra pills. At Ukmedix we use a special Pharmacheck System which enables all customers to find out exactly from which pharmacy in the United Kingdom their Viagra, Cialis or Levitra comes from so that they can check the veracity of the product.
At Ukmedix we never sell anything except the genuine product and we never dispense medications that require a prescription without one. If you ever come across a website that says you can get Viagra, Cialis or Levitra without a prescription you are definitely buying a fake medication and you are definitely playing into the hands of criminals.
Ukmedix News congratulates the MHRA on their latest conviction and hopes that many more will follow so that illegal medications on the internet will become a thing of the past.
