More evidence is appearing that the erectile dysfunction medication Viagra can actually help women improve their chances of conceiving. You may think that this is pretty obvious as it improves erectile function for men but what we are talking about here is women being able to use the Viagra drug to improve their own fertility.

In a recent case Helen Wilkinson from the United Kingdom was given a prescription for Viagra in the hope that it would help her to conceive a baby with her husband because scientists say that it is possible that the Viagra may help to thicken the womb lining which in turn will boost the chances of conception. Helen Wilkinson recently gave birth to twins after having been unable to conceive for six years. She is sure that her success in conceiving and giving birth to two healthy infants is due to the Viagra drug.
Viagra is known to help with many medical illnesses but it has only been properly tested for erectile dysfunction and for relief of the symptoms of pulmonary arterial hypertension. At Ukmedix News we believe that in a few years time Viagra may start to be used for many other different applications. Some scientists say that the Viagra drug could help to prevent heart attacks but it needs to be extensively tested before it can be safely used in this way.
It is strange to think that the Viagra drug which can now claim to be one of the world’s most successful medications ever was discovered completely by accident during routine testing for an angina medication done in Wales by the drug company Pfizer. A large amount of drug applications are discovered by accident when they are being tested for some other reasons and very often after the release of a particular drug patients often report positive side effects in different areas.
