The largest drugs company in the world that has Viagra, the worlds best selling erectile dysfunction medication on its books has appointed a new boss to run the company. Pfizer has appointed Jeffrey Kindler to be chief executive replacing Hank McKinnnell the previous boss. Kindler already knows Pfizer having been a lawyer for the company for some years and some analysts see that the biggest challenges facing big drug companies and especially Pfizer are patent battles for its best selling drugs as well as product liability legal actions.

Pfizer which caused a revolution in bedrooms around the world with its Viagra drug for impotence is considered to have been the most successful firm in the pharmacuetical section during the 90's and Viagra played a big part in that, Recently however the company has not been charging ahead as fast and analyst hope that the new appointment will change that and also will stop months of speculation as to the new person for the job.

Pfizer despite being an American company has invested heavily into research facilities in the UK as it tries to find new medicines and cures. Pfizer is considered to be a very effective marketing company for its drugs and products and this has sometimes led to criticism from the health industry. Pfizer is almost a household name thanks to the success of it erectile dysfunction medicine Viagra and this has raised the profile of the company greatly.

Viagra was originally tested and researched as a drug for angina and it was only when people started reporting pleasant side effects that the erectile dysfunction drug was considered as a commercially viable drug. Viagra despite the arrival of Cialis and Levitra and their intensive marketing campaigns is still the world best selling erectile dysfunction drug and continues to help millions of men with their impotence problems. Viagra is also the most copied and illegally manufactured drug in the world and Pzifer despite spending millions to protect their copyright and to stamp out the illegal production of the drug are still having big problems.
