Viagra Used To Make Running Faster

Anyone who knows how Viagra works knows that it functions by widening arteries in the body enabling blood to be pumped faster and more easily into the penis. Viagra does not just open the penile artery but also opens other arteries around the body and this is something that has been noted by athletes.

In testing done with mountain climbers it was seen that the ones that took the Viagra tablet at high altitude were often able to continue to walk further and faster when the air got thin compared to their colleagues who were not given Viagra. It is also reckoned that athletes who take Viagra before running could get a competitive advantage over their fellow runners. This is obviously illegal in professional sports but it is something that has not been properly investigated and some people say the use of Viagra is widespread among athletes.
Ukmedix News has also seen reports that in Ireland greyhounds are being given Viagra about half an hour before important races to give them an edge and that in Italy the Neapolitan police have arrested 24 people who were giving Viagra to horses to make them run faster. Among those who were arrested were a pharmacist who is likely to have supplied the Viagra and two vets who probably administered the correct dose for a horse.
Athletes should be aware however that taking Viagra in order to run faster could be dangerous as it is known to lower blood pressure and has not been tested in proper clinical trials for this purpose. You should only use prescription drugs for the purposes that they are designed for because these are the purposes that they have been properly tested for.
