Everyone knows that when Valentine's Day comes around people who sell flowers and chocolates do great business. The sale of red roses on February 14th is higher than any other time of a year. Not many people know however that in the last few years sales of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra also shoot up around this time.

What happens is that men who have an erectile dysfunction problem put off dealing with it but they are forced to confront it when all the hype of Valentine's Day comes around. While they can get away with being tired, stressed and not in the mood for the rest of the year, if a man can't get an erection on Valentine's Day he really does have a problem.
In a way Valentine's Day is a great thing for men suffering from erectile dysfunction because it makes them to face up to the fact that they have a serious medical problem which requires medical help. Valentine's Day therefore helps them to deal with the embarrassing issue of getting doctor's advice and help which usually materializes in the form of a prescription for one of the three erectile dysfunction medications Viagra, Cialis or Levitra.
Research done in America shows that in the week preceding Valentine's Day more prescriptions were issued for Viagra than in any other week of the previous year. The statistics which were collected by Wolters Kluwer Pharma Solutions show that Viagra really is having a positive impact on the sex lives of millions of people around the world.
Their research shows that almost 200,000 prescriptions were issued for Viagra the week before Valentine's Day which is more than 25 percent greater than the lowest Viagra prescription issuing week which incidentally is just before Thanksgiving.
Who knows, in the future Valentine's Day may start to be referred to as Viagra Day. That would be a marketing coup for Pfizer!
