A whopping haul of counterfeit Viagra tablets has been siezed by the Ministry of Health in the United Arab Emirates after customs saw that it did not have the proper papers. A department of the Ministry of Health, the Registration and Control Department noted that the consignment of 86 containers with 1.75 million Viagra tablets had not been properly registered. The head of the Medical Practices and Licensing Department, Dr Ameen Bin Hussain Al Amiri explained that since the drugs were not properly registered and were in fact prohibited by law, permission to export them was refused and they were impounded.

Ukmedix News has previously reported on how many Indian and Chinese companies have tried to get illegal Viagra shipments sent through the United Arab Emirates because they feel that they will appear less suspicious if the certificate of origin comes from UAE ports. A number of government insiders said that it was important that the business authorities did not to issue certificates of origin for medications unless they had previously obtained the Health Ministry's approval.
Ukmedix News knows better than anyone else about the dangers of fake Viagra and other fake erectile dysfunction medication. The industry in these counterfeit products is worth billions of pounds and is one of the largest organised crime problems the world has to face up to.
The United Nations has published reports showing that in some poor third world countries as much as 70 percent of the medicines are counterfeit and therefore likely to be substandard leading to thousands of deaths every year. Governments all around the world must play a part in preventing the trade in fake medications because it ultimately costs lives. You may think it is harmless to buy a fake Viagra tablet online but you could be contributing to the death of innocents in another part of the world.
