One of the largest ever fake Viagra drug busts has just been undertaken in Spain after long undercover operation by the Spanish police. In all it is estimated that over 160,000 fake Viagra tablets have been impounded after searches of a number of properties in the town of Calpe. Initial reports say that the fake Viagra appears to have been manufactured in China and India and was brought into Spain using special courier companies. The drugs were also likely to have been sold online.

Interestingly not only was fake Viagra found but also 15 kilograms of benzylpiperazine which is a recreational drug that produces the same effects as amphetamines. Benzylpiperazine is known to have some dangerous side effects including acute psychosis and seizures and his classified as a Class A banned drug in many countries including America and the United Kingdom.
This case highlights the connection between organised crime producing a whole range of illegal recreational drugs and the trade in fake versions of the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra which are sold online. While you may think that buying a fake Viagra tablet is the harmless endeavour you should know that you will be more than likely to be giving your credit card details to a criminal organisation, and thus the funding the manufacture and sale of hard drugs such as benzylpiperazine throughout the world.
The Spanish police said that in their raids they had come across a fake version of the anti anxiety drug Xanax and also Kamagra which is one of the most common fake Viagras. They said that there was even a version of the wrinkle treatment Botox, which they said would be very dangerous if used or manufactured incorrectly.
A police statement said that five individuals were arrested and will now face charges including the production of drugs without “sanitary control.”
