A huge amount of Viagra tablets have been seized by customs officials in Sweden following a routine inspection of a post office. The package in question contained almost 9,000 Viagra tablets and came as a great surprise to the person who found them.

Normally it is only fake Viagra tablets which are smuggled across borders but there’s also a considerable market for real Viagra tablets made by Pfizer which have been stolen and are then sold on the street to individuals. In fact Ukmedix News has reported on a gang in Brazil who ended up being called the Viagra Gang after they would raid pharmacies armed with sawn off shotguns and only demand their entire stock of Viagra.
A spokesperson for the Swedish Customs Agency explained that the person whose name was on this Viagra package is being investigated for smuggling and that this is not the first time that Viagra tablets have been seized by customs in Sweden. However it is definitely the largest haul of Viagra tablets that they have found so far. The spokesperson would not divulge the name of the recipient of this package but did say that the package had originated in the UK.
It is possible that these 9,000 Viagra were in fact stolen and will be traced back to a particular raid or burglary. Because of the popularity of the Viagra drug and its appeal to criminals, Pfizer have to guard stocks of Viagra carefully and also warn pharmacies and hospitals to be extra vigilant when storing it.
Practically every single week at Ukmedix News we receive reports of Viagra been stolen from medical establishments around the world. The theft is normally traced back to some individual working at that place who is either just curious to try the drug or who has an impotence problem which he is too embarrassed to talk to a doctor about. The embarrassment however when being found out is far worse!
