If you suffer from a side effect of Viagra, Cialis or Levitra you can report it to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the United Kingdom under the Yellow Card scheme which is designed to take note of all side effects on all medications no matter how obscure. The Yellow Card scheme is examined every now and again by a board at the MHRA and if some side effects persistently appear over a long period of time they may decide to investigate further. This could lead to a change in the labelling of a drug or in extreme cases even its complete withdrawal.

Some men using Viagra have reported a number of weird and wacky side effects such as hiccups and toothaches which are hard to attribute to the impotence drug. However the one which takes the prize for being the strangest reported side effect of Viagra is excess farting!
Many of these reported side effects will in fact have nothing to do with the Viagra drug but are just documented by doctors and patients so that if something occurs repeatedly they can look into it. The most common side effects of Viagra are facial flushing and headaches which disappear soon after the drug wears off. (About four hours).
In the United Kingdom Viagra is prescribed over a million times annually and therefore the number of side effects reported in the MHRA database is extremely small with only about 1,000 reports. Other extremely rare side effects of Viagra which cannot be confirmed as having anything to do with the drug are temporary amnesia, [hmm, convenient in some cases], temporary blindness and deafness.
It is also worth remembering that Viagra is used by many elderly men who exert themselves in the bedroom and therefore put themselves at risk of other health conditions.

Has any evidence surfaced of Viagra causing osteoarthritis? I was using it a lot for awhile and have since had deterioration in my hips. Also, at one point I popped a vein in my penis, it healed, but now have that U-bend that wasn't there before. Any relation to heavy Viagra use?
