Common sense has prevailed after a Judge stepped in to ban a convicted paedophile from using free Viagra handed out by the National Health Service. Last week Ukmedix News reported on the case where Mr. Roger Martin had been prescribed free Viagra despite the fact that he has been convicted on a number of occasions of abusing children over the last 30 years.
In the latest case Mr. Martin who is 71 years old and who recently admitted to indecently assaulting an eleven year old girl, was spared going to prison after his lawyers argued that he was too old to survive being locked up. However the very fact that he went to his doctor to get a free Viagra prescription shows that he intended to continue with sexual activity despite his age and despite his previous convictions.

It was pointed out by many legal experts that under National Health Service rules people could not be prevented from getting medication because of a criminal record, however Judge Nicholas Coleman decided to throw out the rule book and issued an order that Mr. Martin was completely prohibited from having possession of any medication ‘for the purpose of sexual stimulation’ which will include Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.
This decision means that not only will he be unable to get free Viagra on the National Health Service but even if he pays for Viagra or even a fake version of it he will be in complete breach of his parole conditions and will immediately be put in jail.
The director of the charity Kidscape, Mr. Claude Knights called the decision “a victory for common sense”. At Ukmedix News we believe that any individuals who are listed on the Sexual Offenders Register should be completely prohibited from using any erectile dysfunction medication or from getting any treatment to enhance their sexual function.
