Research done recently has confirmed what Ukmedix News has said for years which is that the majority of internet medications obtained by bypassing correct medical procedures and thus without prescriptions are counterfeit and potentially lethal. The research which was done by pharmacists from Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States and which was published by the International Journal of Clinical Practice claims that those men who buy fake medication online to treat erectile dysfunction could end up with serious health problems. The researchers said that 90 percent of all medications sold online are fake and that 44 percent of internet Viagra is also counterfeit.

They said that men had actually died from using fake erectile dysfunction medication as well as thousands of other people worldwide from using a whole list of different medicines. The researchers looked at over 50 different studies published over the last fifteen years and specifically focused on the problem of fake erectile dysfunction medication. These fake impotence drugs have played a major part in facilitating the huge growth in the fake drug market because they are so popular and men love the idea of being able to buy them without getting a prescription.
The lead author of the review Mr. Graham Jackson said that these drugs had “unknown pharmaceutically active ingredients” as well as impurities which could lead to “undesirable and serious adverse events”. He mentioned one case in which 150 men ended up in hospital after using a fake version of the erectile dysfunction drug Cialis. Seven of the men ended up in a coma and four of them died.
In the European Union impotence drugs are the most commonly copied drugs and the profits from these illegal activities are harnessed into producing other fake medications such as fake birth control tablets and even fake cancer medications! Pfizer that manufactures the world’s most popular erectile dysfunction medication Viagra has looked at over 2,000 suspected counterfeit tablets in the EU over the last four years and found among other things amphetamines, bulk lactose, metronidazole, caffeine and even blue printer ink in the individual samples.
The Dutch National Institute for Public Health which did its own research found that out of 370 Viagra samples purchased online 360 were fake and contained a whole list of other drugs and chemicals in them.
At Ukmedix News we have warned that unless your medication comes from a UK based pharmacy it is almost certainly fake and therefore potentially dangerous. At the Ukmedix web site it is possible to check where your Viagra, Cialis or Levitra comes from by using the Pharmacheck system. Never buy medications online unless you can get a proper UK prescription and you can be 100 percent sure that what you are buying is genuine.
