Reports coming from the United States Attorney's office say that a man from Jordan who was dealing in fake Viagra tablets has been sentenced to four years prison. The 27 year old man Mr.Iyad Dogmosh was originally charged with the sale and trafficking of over $400,000 worth of the fake Viagra drug.

Mr.Iyad Dogmosh had pleaded guilty to the charges after the police raided a warehouse where he had a stash of over 36,000 counterfeit Viagra tablets. When the tablets were tested while they looked exactly like the real thing they were found to contain no sildenafil citrate which is their active ingredient. However the Food & Drug Administration did say that the tablets contained a chemical called metronidazole which is in fact an antibiotic. If this chemical is swallowed with alcohol it can cause unpleasant side effects such as vomiting, headaches and stomach aches.

Mr.Iyad Dogmosh  who had received the fake Viagra tablets from Egypt was running a lucrative operation and will probably be deported after he finishes his prison sentence.

This criminal operation is one of literally thousands which have proliferated worldwide over the last decade since the arrival of the impotence medication Viagra. There is a huge market for underground and black market Viagra which is sold to men who are too embarrassed to go and see a doctor or who think that they are saving money by not buying the real thing. This case however highlights the dangers of buying black market Viagra and should serve as a warning to people who buy Viagra on the internet without a prescription.
