Lifetime Supply Of Viagra Given With Pitbull

A pit bull called Ingrid is all over the news following the reports that it is a regular user of the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra and that this best selling impotence drug is being used to keep the dog alive. The dog which lives at the Little Shelter in Huntington in New York State was rescued by volunteers after she was found tied up to a gate.
Ingrid was in terrible health and had been used in dogfights. She was not an actual fighter herself but was used to bait other dogs to work them up into a savage frenzy. When she had been rescued she was suffering from heart problems which were remedied by opening up her arteries using Viagra. Viagra has also been used in many cases to treat human heart problems caused by constricted arteries.
Ingrid's carers say that she requires four Viagra tablets every day, two in the morning and two in the evening, in order to keep her alive and that they were looking for somebody to look after her full time. The good news according to the dog shelter is that she is not aggressive, has a very calm temperament and that a lifetime supply of Viagra will be given to whoever takes her on. [The lifetime of the dog that is!]
At present Ingrid’s Viagra is being financed by generous donations from people who know her and they will continue to do this if she’s found a good home. Whatever the case it is clear that Ingrid will not find a home easily partly because of the stigma associated with pit bull terriers and also because of the significant health complications that the dog has. It is hoped however that some generous person will step forward and give this poor dog who has had a rough start in life a little bit of hope and dignity for the future.

Why don't they inject them with something that makes the calm and docile, or maybe even some operation might help. Dog lovers and vets please invent someting as these dogs cannot go on killing children, they will have to become extinct!

They tend to belong to idiots who use them to compensate for insecurities and they destroy families when they kill. The same goes for rotweillers. Should I be allowed to keep a lion at home? I agree with June when she says 'try telling this to the mother' however I also understand the heartbreak of having to put your dog down because it can kill someone. I agree mostly with doglover, Yes they must find some medicine that will keep them from attacking and killing.

We just want to make people aware that Ingrid was NOT used as a bait dog to our knowledge. She was in very bad condition when she came to us and almost died. She was also removed from a chain on a fence.

Lani and April get two thumbs up!! Pitbulls are the greatest dogs in the world...humans just confuse them (their trainers).. Dogs are an offshoot of peoples mentality. Bad ppl have bad dogs etc.. Govts needs to hold owners responsible for attacks, not dogs.. If my pitbull kills another human, I'll take responsibility!!! The truth is that all dogs bite and lose their tempers, like humans but the problem is that when it's a pitbull or rottweiller it usually ends up maiming or killing. @Shannon how can you take responsibility for a severe injury or death? The damage will have been done.

I have rescued abused pit bulls for over 26 years ! These dogs are great no matter how severly abused they have been by MAN still have trust in their hearts to 'forgive' and to move on ! It takes time and patience,,,but it does happen !! For those few of you that feel so angry and against pit bulls being on this planet.
