The Chinese Strike Back

Finally the Chinese authorities seem to be making some headway into the problem of fake Viagra being manufactured in China. A Chinese man was recently sent to prison for 8 years after having been found guilty of making 60 tons (yes 60!) of fake erectile dysfunction and libido boosting drugs. The Chinese government that announced the sentence on the Chinese state TV and radio news, now seems to be determined to root out the criminals that produce these dangerous drugs often using prescription drugs that are copied from western drugs like Viagra and Cialis.

The man Xi Yongli and his criminal colleagues altogether sold over two and a half million dollars worth of their products ‘America Number 1, Male Exclusive and Great Big Brother’ which is the slang name for Viagra in China as well as a host of other concoctions that were all designed to improve men’s libido and sex lives.

The court that was based in the central Chinese province of Anhui gave Xi Yongli and the other prison sentences that ranged from just over a year right up to 8 years for the manufacturing and sale of medicine without the proper and correct licences as well as the illegal manufacture of the key ingredient in Viagra namely Sildenafil Citrate. Another Chinese court recently established that Pfizer is the holder of the patent for the sildenafil citrate drug that is the all-important ingredient in Viagra.

The Chinese are notorious for their fake medicines and drugs that are sold all over the world often by the Internet. Recently a Chinese company produced a baby milk powder that killed over 10 babies as it was made with no nutritional content and another company was found to be producing fake birth control drugs!

We said it before and we say it again, if you buy fake erectile dysfunction medication over the Internet from websites that advertise cheap prices and have no online doctors consultation and that don’t issue prescriptions you are putting your health in danger and also funding criminal gangs.
