According to the urologist Dr Geoff Hackett over 50 percent of men using the erectile dysfunction medication Viagra don't get effective results. This statement flies in the face of the published clinical studies which show that in fact Viagra and its cousins Cialis and Levitra are effective in between 80 and 90 percent of cases!

Doctor Hackett who works at the Good Hope Hospital in Birmingham went on to say that insufficient testosterone levels were responsible for around ten percent of men who experienced erectile dysfunction and therefore medications like Viagra would not work for them. He also said that low testosterone was a contribution problem to a further twenty percent of men suffering erectile problems.
Well, the news team at Ukmedix News reckons that Doctor Hackett has got his figures wrong. All the clinical studies and research that we have seen point to the fact that around 90% of erectile dysfunction is caused by a blood flow problem to the penile artery and that Viagra, Cialis and Levitra work by actually boosting the blood flow here.
It is true that men who suffer from low testosterone may suffer from erectile dysfunction however this problem is far less common than penile blood flow problems. Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are still much much more effective for the huge majority of men and this is borne out by the fact that billions of pounds of spent on these three medications every year.
While testosterone replacement therapy can be effective in helping some men remedy their sexual problems it does not have anything like the same sort of success that Viagra Cialis and Levitra do, and the treatment is still controversial because of potential safety issues.
Dr Hackett who was speaking to a meeting of the British Society for Sexual Medicine repeated what has been confirmed by numerous research projects which is that erectile dysfunction should be seen as an early warning signal of potential arterial problems. It is exactly these types of arterial problems that Viagra is designed to remedy!
